VISTA, Calif., September 28, 2007 — Watkins Manufacturing, maker of Caldera Spas, announced that the San Diego Association of Governments' (SANDAG) RideLink Program has presented the company with a Diamond Award, which honors organizations and individuals for their outstanding contributions to reducing traffic congestion in the San Diego region. Watkins is one of only 15 companies in the San Diego area recognized with this prestigious award.

To qualify as a candidate for a Diamond Award, a company or individual must promote vanpooling, carpooling, or the use of mass transit, support flexible work hours or teleworking, and offer subsidies or incentives for any of these activities.

According to Sandra Shuda, Watkins' Vice President of Human Resources, the company offers its employees commuter benefits programs such as carpools, vanpools, and a bus pass subsidy program to alleviate parking issues, traffic congestion and employee stress.
