Niagara Jet Systems

Seat or lounge (varies by model) for neck, shoulder and middle back massage.

A contoured pillow cradles your head while specialized, above-the-water-line jets focus on neck and shoulders.

Multiple jets focus on large muscles in your back. Select models work on wrists and calves.

A unique jet configuration relieves tension and pain in your back’s lumbar region.

These jets provide a deep, penetrating massage to thighs, knees, calves and feet (Two in most Utopia® models).

In Niagara, Geneva and Cantabria these jets work an often overlooked stress point and enhance movement there.

In Utopia® models they work on muscles in the lower leg.

Niagara Reviews

Niagara is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 82.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Niagara Tub We have enjoyed this tub for many years, what would I change? -I would make the speakers come with a little finger lift tab, this way when the springs stop working I can manually pull them up. -I would also have the stereo mount higher so its easier to see the buttons. -Another minor issue is the valve that controls the waterfall constantly pops off. I would not make it a screw type knob I would make this a handle valve like the other jets have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Niagara and Pain Relief I was hopeful when we purchased our Utopia Niagara hot tub but had no idea how happy I would be with it. At the end of a long day at work, the arthritis in my back and knees was killing me. I was limited to the pain relievers I could use. After a nightly soak, I am sleeping better than ever with great pain relief!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from use it all the time We shoped for hottubs for over a year, had an old hot springs without much problems, we decided on the Niagara because of the seating arrangement, no big lounger, good filtration, same parent company as hot springs, so I figured it would be good quality, we weren't disappointed . My only complaint is the location of the jet in the bottom of the tub, very awkward getting in , bad knee and foot problems.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Niagra Review overall our family enjoys this spa, however, we opted to spend the money for the extra lighting package with waterproof remote. the lights no longer work right after the short warranty expired. this was an expensive add on that i regret but added great value to the spa experience when working.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Money well spent!! Water by Design staff were great! Really knew their products & were very helpful. Would definitely do business with them again! Caldera was definitely the best after shopping around for over a year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Once over the hump, works great After initial set-up, spa was shutting itself down and showing flashing Power and Ready lights. Had to shut off power and restart with same reults after 10 minutes. No water through filter with #2 pump. Initially diagnosed as a pressure switch or one-way valve problem. Turns out it was a software proiblem and #2 pump does not circulate through filter by design. All working well now for the past 4 months. Son (11yrs) likes the waterfall and light show. Additional control panel comes in handy. Fits seven kids. Back seats great for adults. An inexpensive low mount coverlift works well. Recommend you hose down, wipe clean and drain before first fill-up. All in all, would buy same make/model again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value - Jet controls should be moved We enjoy our Niagara spa, and the quality after 18 months appears very good. The only complaint we have is the location of the jet controls. They are on the opposite side of spa from the seat you are in. More thought should have been put into where the jet controls were located.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Control Panel The only reason I din't rate the Spa a 5 is the controls can be challenging. Just try changing the lighting sequence, you will be there for a while. Other then that the Spa performance has been excellent. We are very please we chose the Niagara Spa.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spa Review On the whole, I am very satisfied with my Caldera Spa and have recommended it to others. In addition, my dealer has been excellent to work with. The only issue I am disappointed in is the capcity of the heater for a spa of this size. If the exterior temperature is below 20 degrees F, the heater can't keep up with the heat loss and the spa gets cold. My dealer has looked at this to confirm that everything is working correctly and they say it is.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My Caldera spa I paid top dollar to have a Caldera spa because it is supposed to be one of the best. I do love the spa but it has had its challenges. Had to have the repair guy out 7 different times to try to solve stereo issues. This was very upsetting. I feel that if Caldera is going to offer integrated stereo systems they need to match the quality of the system with the quality of the spa. Two other warranty issues besides the stereo but have got all but one issue resolved. If i had to do it again i would tell caldera to keep there stereo system, save cutting the holes in the tub for speakers and ill use my own bose outdoor system that puts the caldera stereo to shame. Would recommend the spa to others with certain warnings.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from When the Warranty Ends Watch Out!!! Our hot tub was great but we had a few problems and a pump was fixed and cover replaced under warranty. The warranty ended a month ago and now the circulation pump has gone three weeks ago and today the heating control board burned up and apparently fried the top control board as well. Total repairs over 1200.00 and counting. The hot tub isn't easy to maintain in Canada as the frog system chemicals are not available at least that is what our dealer tells us but not till after we had it delivered. It is very expensive to operate well over 140 a month in hydro.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 10 Year Hassle We're finally getting rid of the spa. It has been one thing after another. Six months ago we installed a brand new control board - another $400 and it's ON THE BLINK again. Good riddance.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Niagra lemon Poor design and quality for 2011 Niagra. Fountain dial control has been repaired and/or replaced on 3 occasions. Lights have been replaced where a third set will be replaced within the next 30 days. Do not believe unit was tested properly before leaving factory. Local dealership has been tasked with this lemon and have been wonderful to correct all matters. If it was not for local dealership, this matter would have been escalated. It's discerning to spend top dollar for aggravation. Yes, a Caldera Spa is a great investment, however quality control needs to be held accountable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from May's Hot Tub We have owned our hot tub for about 1 1/2 years- absolutely love it- our grandchildren are learning to get used to the water, swim and enjoy the warm water. We built an addition to our home so that we can walk right out into the room that the tub is in and enjoy it every day. My husband has had medical issues with accidents and he loves going in and relaxing after a day of work around the farm. Thank you for making such a great product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great spa We have had this spa since 2004 or 2005. It is a wonderful spa... it is my favorite place to be in the Maryland wintertime. We have only had to replace the heater and my husband was able to do that job... have had 1 service call under warrenty. It is a great spa however, it was a lot of money... if we bought another one now I think we would get a smaller unit the cost to heat the water really brings our electric bill up in the winter and there are only 2 people that use it ... but it is a wonderful spa I would recommend it or any caldara product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Our Caldera Spa We've had our Caldera Niagara spa for 2 years and use it weekly. The jets are very therapeutic and the spa has held up well. We had one issue with the circulation pump not working but the store where we bought it came out and put a new one in for $35.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy the BEST I bought this Niagra Utopia spa back in 2004, and it has been a wonderful addition to our home. Very little maintenance, and although I had to have both motors rebuilt, (which we expected) the cost was well worth it, and it was like getting a brand new spa. Our cover lasted 9 years outside, and we just replace that as well, and again, for our first spa, I expect it to last us another 10-20 years easily! We did not opt for the spa with the built in speakers, and thankful we didn't, as I've heard there are issues with them, but this was the next best thing, and I couldn't recommend it more highly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love our Caldera Spa! This is our second Caldera Spa and we love the advances that have been made in the last 18 years. The water circulates 24/7 at a very low speed. We use the built-in frog system and the water needs very few chemicals. We chose the Niagara model without a lounge seat (it's hard to stay in one without floating out,) but the way the seats are arranged, there is a semi-lounge position for those who want that. Plenty of jets too. We've always felt that Caldera Spas are top-quality, and they would be our choice next time too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love our Niagara spa We love our Niagara spa it is a wonderful addition to our sunroom I am in it at least four times a week it is always ready. 24/7 If I wake up at 5:30am with a tight mussels there is nothing like 15 minute in the tub Cristal Pools in Elizabethtown PA are top notch from planning to delivery they exceeded my expectations. The control panel takes a little time to master and the neck jet valve is sometimes an issue. But otherwise 99% happy Smiling in Palmyra PA

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First tub.... great choice! This is our first tub. My wife is on 5 ft, so finding a tub that would fit her was a challenge. The Niagara worked just dandy. The lights are very nice and the seats offer a lot of variety. A few features were missing from the tub upon receipt. However, the vendor sent a technician to update the software.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't Recommend Enough So the reason I came to the CalderaSpas website was to see if there were any new options, tubs, etc. as I am building a new home. I have used the Niagara for the last 6 years and absolutely love it. It is the perfect relaxation tub for teenagers and an awesome therapy tub when you really want to work your muscles deeply. I can't see how the controls could be any more convenient. Seriously the tub has controls on both sides so you're never more than an arm's reach away. And unless you're a complete fool I can't see why anyone would have any difficulty adjusting lighting thru the 7 steps...even my youngest child operates all the tub controls without thought. I have the StoneScape exterior which is very realistic...and stays nice without fading or looking chalky...seems to double as additional insulation. Only issue I had was with a wall mounted cover lifter which installer did not properly anchor into wooden support members...I beefed up the substructure and all is great!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Therapy I use it every morning to start my day. Only wish it was cool all year. In the summer, we don't tend to get in it, so it's drained.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Relaxing Purchase The spa was delivered and I had it up and running soon after (had to wait for the electrician - that can cost some money) The water was easy to adjust and since that time have refilled and adjusted it without problem. It does take some more maintenance than just a once a week dose of chlorine, but overall not that bad. It does use more electricity than the salesman told me it would (no big surprise there). We have had it less than a year, no problems, and we use it at least twice a week - we conveniently located it right next to our walk out basement door. I know many people with indoor jet tubs that never use them - this is a much better investment in your relaxation - it's always on and always ready.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You Get What You Pay For We shopped many spas before purchasing a Caldera. None really provided the comfort the Niagra does. But neither did others provide the size, colors and overall quality this spa provides. After nearly 3 years of service we have no regret for spending the money for this spa.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be happier We bought our hot tub 4 years ago and were extremely happy with it. In the 3rd year, we noticed the shell bubbling in a few areas and contacted the company about it. They ended up replacing the spa!! I highly recommend Caldera - they are a company that stands behind their product. We absolutely love our hot tub!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Investment we made to our Happy Marriage! As most couples ,we were hesitant to invest in something that was a want and not a need in this challenging economic climate but are so happy we made the big step. Our hot tub has definitely brought us closer together and gives us something to look forward to at the end of our stressful days. We start out taling and getting caught up and then turn on the jets and become quiet and peaceful to de-stress for the evening. We absolutely love our spa and have told all our family and friends and co-workers to think seriously about enriching their lives as we did ours!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Utopia Niagra We got our new Caldera Utopia Niagra spa back in May 2016 and really enjoy it. It is so easy to stay in it for several hours just relaxing. It is so rejuvenating and does wonders for our sore muscles. Overall I am extremely happy with the spa. Unfortunately the service from the dealer is not up to par. My advice is, make sure your dealer service is reputable and they actually want to keep you after a sale has been made. There are so many good things I could say about our spa but I really want to mention the not so good items. 1. The sound system. It was an impulse buy to add the stereo system and we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we don't use it. The sound is not even (i.e. 2 of the speakers over power the other 6.) You can't hear music in one seat and go deaf in another. Dealer states there is no problem. Turning it on takes away any pleasure from the spa. 2. Flow noise. My spa has excessive noise through the couple of the diverters. So much so that no one wants to adjust it to the max position for the ectaseat. Dealer says this is normal however, their floor models are very quiet. One of the reasons I wanted a Utopia series is for the quietness. 3. Panels. My rear panel does not close. The Velcro used to secure it is ineffective. I have a feeling the dealer improperly installed the cover lifter causing excess force on the panel. It's been about 5 months and they still show no interest in fixing it. 4. The cover started to come apart a couple months after we got it. This may be more of a cover lifter installation problem than a quality problem but it is worth mentioning. It has been almost 8 weeks since I was told Caldera would replace the cover however, I haven't received it nor has the dealership contacted me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Disappointed in the new siding. We really like the hot tub shell and and operation of the jets and valves. It does take time to get use to what each diverter does to water flow. We are not as impressed with the cabinet that is around it. The panels keep coming loose on one of the sides. It was a replaced panel for one that had blown off when they were delivering the hot tub. The siding is really flimsy but I do like the fact that it is easily removable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Niagara is Great. Bluetooth Speakers not good:( i love this tub all around. I use this just about everyday. Easy to maintain. The only issue I have is that since I purchased 10 months ago I have had to replace on average about 1 wifi speaker a month. they do not hold up to the water and heat which is very disappointing. Especially since they are $50/each right now warranty covers them but what happens when the warranty is up?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love my spa but need a map for the jet/air controls I've had my Niagara Spa for about a month now and am truly loving it. A 20 minute soak late at night means a sound and restful sleep! I would like to see a better user interface/experience for the jet controls though. Their operation is really non-intuitive. Maybe an iPhone app that maps controls to the jets they affect?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great!, but trouble with speaker on one chair and a leak This Spa is delightful for comfort. We bought the blue tooth sound system on the salesman's recommendation at Atlantic Spa's and Billiards in Raleigh, NC. However, one of the speakers failed on the captain's chair immediately and now we've experienced another failure on the same speaker. The service dept recommended I complain to Watkins. I'm not sure why I need to complain. The salesman should. Also, we experienced a leak which was fixed and attributed to a gasket over-torqued in manufacturing. It seems OK now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Niagra owner As this is our first hot tub, it was difficult to set certain expectations as we had no history other than a few visits to ski resorts, etc. The Niagra is the perfect size for our family and friends. The various seating profiles allow us to "rotate" periodically which enables amazing therapeutics. The pumps are quiet, jet force perfect (and adjustable) and the seats are comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life Saver! We recently purchased a Caldera Spa, the Niagara. We did months of research on all different brands of spas before makin our final choice. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase We Ever made When we decided to do away with our above ground pool after many years, we wondered what to do with our back yard. The decision was to build a little slice of paradise for my wife and me with a deck specially built to accommodate a new Caldera Spa. Cold weather, warm weather, no matter, we enjoy our spa year round. And since we're starting to get older, it couldn't be better for those aches and pains. Best purchase ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True relaxation achieved, rest assured with Caldera!!! I always go with the best so I was hesitant to make this purchase without any prior ownership of a Caldera. Far better than the top brands I have owned in the past. Safer due to lower amp electrical design, more efficient due to less pumps, able to focus pumps on specific areas through diverters, better therapy as jets are the latest design and technology, easier to maintain due to the single filter and built in cartridge system, stylish exterior, ease of lift system much more enjoyable, and customer service to support any issues that always seem to arise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Owner since 2004 We replaced an older spa from a different manufacturer with a Caldera spa back in 2004. It's is still working flawlessly through all kinds of weather including a 100 mph wind storm just a couple of weeks ago. I use the spa almost every night, probably 350 nights per year, rain, snow, etc. Only lightning prevents me from going in it. Maintenance is very simple and electric costs are pretty low. Obviously 12 years is an incredible longevity. My wife would like to upgrade to swim spa but have to wear out this one first, not going to happen any tine soon. Five stars from me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caldera Niagara This SPA is an excellent unit! It has lots of powerful jets and the only one I found with a floor mounted huge jet. This jet is the one we use most for sore feet and legs. The only feature I do not use is the Frog system as it requires Bromine and I do not use it. Instead I use SPA Marvel which keeps my water sparkling clean without chlorine or bromine. I highly recommend this spa to any serious user.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the most pleasant escape i am a sufferer of major body pain, coming from my nerves, not like pain from lifting weights or running, but a constant pressure of pain from my fingers through my arms, into my neck and lower back, a stranger array of pain sequence i have been told. in any case , i need to relax in heat, as cold is more irritating to the whole thing. the spa has the power and number of jets so arranged, it is like going from one massage to the next, i sit in every chair in this wonder, i am so very glad i got this tub

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just perfect I've had my tub since Dec 2015. It has been easy to maintain and have not had any issues. I purchased the Niagara mostly for the configuration and the neck massage jets which have helped me manage my neck pain. Most of the other tubs I saw made it quite difficult to move around from station to station, not so with the Niagara. We can do it easily. The jets can be adjusted to your desired pressure and it has external and internal lights with your choice of colors or can set on a loop for all colors. It's pretty cool. I haven't figured out what the waterfall is good for but it has one of them with lights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome experience! We have had our Niagara for about one year now. It is a beautiful addition to our patio area. We spend quite a bit of time in it. Plenty of room for several people! Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh My God! Hi! This is Patrik writing all the way from "cold" Sweden! I Finally got my dream spa The Niagara! after 10 years of longing! You know, when buying a house there is a lot of things need fixing and shaping up. Economy for a hottub just was´nt there . While doing this I kept my dream alive that someday owning a Spa and I spent hundreds of late nights Googeling for the ultimate brand and model and so suddenly........I found it! It was called Caldera Niagara! To be honest I nearly missed it. But the reviews and the specs made me certain that this was the model for me and my family. During all this time my wife and kids declared me somewhat crazy and they were sometimes quite annoyed with me constant talking about the spa. But now!! They just love it , and we feel like celebrities. Everyone wants to come over and have a soak. It amazing! I could not be happier . I LOVE my Caldera Niagara /Patrik Kruger . ps please excuse my misspellings ,but hey.. I´m from Sweden :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't live without it... I purchased my Caldera spa in January of 2005 when our family moved from Atlanta to Charlotte. While I am not a warm weather user, I get in my spa every night before bed from early October to mid-April. Nothing finishes my day like sitting in my spa, looking at the stars and thinking about my day. On the nights when I spot a shooting star, things are even better. I cannot imagine ever being without my Caldera spa!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still loving it! We purchased our Niagara almost three years ago and we still love it. Water care is so easy with the frog system. It is always ready 24/7. Nothing like a 6am dip to start the day off right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Spa I purchased my Niagra Series Spa over a year ago and am very pleased. It is very comfortable and by rotating through the various seats and jet layouts, we find a way to massage most all the troublesome body parts. The only trouble we have had has been with the speakers. We love having a great sound in the spa, but every few months one or more speakers stop working and Caldera had only a few months worth of warranty to cover repair. They need to either put in a better, more reliable speaker system or increase their warranty for repair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Fibromyalgia we use our hot tub 3 to 4 times per week, every week and this tub has been in perfect working order for the 3 years we have owned it. We just now had our first mechanical issue which doesn't effect the overall operation of the tub. I would buy another Niagara when this one quits. Definitely recommend this tub to all of you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caldera and Niagara, top notch! I wanted to wait to review until we had our Niagara through one water change cycle (about 4 months). Buying. Our experience was OUTSTANDING from our Caldera dealer. Our Sales Rep was very knowledgeable, personable and professional. He asked the right questions and made spot on recommendations as to which tub would fit our active lifestyle. He ensured that we went tested the tubs we were looking at. He came by the house for a pre inspection to ensure the spa would work at our location. After delivery, he came by to go over all the features and fill us in on chemistry which he was also knowledgeable about. As a side note, we did our due diligence and went to competitors to compare and sadly, they seemed not to care if they go our business or not. Their loss! The Niagara itself. We are very active and at middle age. After a 10 mile hike or 5 mile run, let me tell you what appears to be at first a very frivolous purchase and buyers remorse quickly goes away when you step in the tub. We chose the Niagara as the lounger chair was not our style. We liked the seating arrangement and jet configuration. While it says it seats 7, 4 is comfortable. And they get decent seats. They are not on a hump with just one jet in the small of the back. Anyway, Tub Time is therapeutic on tired muscles and bones. We even sleep better after a bit of tub time. The functionslike the diverters are easy to use. The screen panel is easy to navigate. Couple of buttons and the jets are on and so are the lights if you so choose. You set the temp and it’s done. The outside “butterfly” logo, when the right wing is orange, you know at a glance you are within 2 degrees of target. The Niagara is easy to get in and out of. Make sure you take notice when you wet test. Maintenance. Very easy. I do a spot check couple times a week. A quick peek under the cover only takes a few seconds. Mostly checking for clarity. I test once a week with test strips and I found I would have to make an adjustment, maybe every two weeks or so. YMMV depending on your water. I’ve only topped off the tub twice in four months. Not bad! Once a month I would rinse the cover off and apply a coating of Aero 303 to protect it and clean the pleated filter. I would change Bromine about 5-6 weeks or whenever it sounds like salt shaker. Again, YMMV. The mineral cartridge, when I do a water change. The water change itself, takes less than 1.5 hours. That includes sponging out the last bits of water at bottom. Get yourself a 1/4 HP pump off the giant online shopping website. If you want, even stick a sprinkler to other end and water your lawn while draining. Again, easy. Refill, make chemical adjustments as needed and you are off and running after it gets up to temp. Overall, we couldn’t be more pleased. From buying experience to maintenance to ease of use. Any buyers remorse quickly goes away when you step into it after a long day of work or activity or any occasion. If you have the budget and space, go for it. You won’t regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Need manual This is an amazing hot tub. I was concerned about a hot tub not attached to the pool. I have been pleasantly surprised at how clean it stays, with very little chemicals. However, I moved into this house and can't figure out how to get the jets exactly right. The manual left behind is lame ... can someone point me to where I can find a more detailed user manual. Thanks, Karen

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Retired in a Naigra The Niagra is the first hot tub that we've ever owned! We enjoy it so much and use it most every day! Sometimes even twice a day! I must say though it takes a little time to learn all of the controls but the owner's manual has photos that display exactly which each one does. Some control air and some control water volume at each station. Needs to be that way because everyone is different and everyone likes to adjust their station to their particular liking. Glad we settled on a Caldera spa! We trust this hot tub will last many years!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We made a great decision! We did so much research before purchasing our Caldera Spa, and I must say, we made the right decision by purchasing this spa. We absolutely love it. It has so much pressure (which you can easily dial up or down) and so many jets. I love all the different seats in the spa and I'm so glad we didn't settle for a cheaper brand, because you get what you pay for. We had a spa at our old home (it was not a Caldera and it came free with the purchase of that home) and we thought it was nice UNTIL we purchased our Caldera spa. We didn't know how much difference there was between different brands. I will definitely recommend this spa. If you're in the market, you should try to see one in person at a showroom to feel the pressure. That's what we did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Niagara I've had my Niagara spa for two years and it never fails to provide the relaxation I was looking for. I love to use is right after the kids leave for school, and before I start work. The amazing neck jets help ease the kinks in my neck from hours sitting at a computer! When we use it at night, the LEDs provide just the right amount of light to easily get in and out in the dark. I will admit, it took me a while to figure out the chemicals, but now that I have, taking care of the spa is easy and requires almost no time. I have recommended this spa to friends and family. My daughter is heading off to college and she told me one of the things she will miss is having daily access to such a great spa! It should keep her coming home on breaks for years to come!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Hot Tub The sales people were honest about the improvements Caldera has made. Design of tub is comfortable for all 7 people where you feel like you have your own area in any spot. Frog system is great and 24 hour pump makes maintenance good. Had some issues with drain, but purchased a sub pump and sped up the process. We have 3 teens and between their friends and us, the tub has been great. Easy to maintain. Higher price but we've got everything we paid for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caldera Niagra This is the first spa we have owned but we researched for months before making a decision. We had heard stories of how much time it took to maintain spas. This is the perfect spa for four or more people and the time and expense to maintain have been minimal. We are fortunate enough to live in an area where there is little ambient lighting and just sitting in the spa and looking up at the stars is a lot of the fun. The jet and lighting options make this so much better than a big box store spas. Our retailer was excellent in the installation and has been very helpful ongoing. Don't think we could have asked for more.
